Which glue should I use to install mouldings ?
For optimal adhesion when installing moldings, it is important to use the right glue. There are special glues for different types of moldings. For example, if you are using NMC moldings, we recommend using Adefix glue. If you are using Orac Decor moldings, FDP500 is the right glue. If you want to install the moldings in damp rooms such as the bathroom or outdoors, we recommend using Adefix + or FDP700, as these glues are specially developed for damp conditions and therefore ensure better adhesion. Make sure to use the right glue for the molding you have chosen to achieve the best result.
Can stucco mouldings repel moisture?
There is a wide range of water-repellent stucco moldings made from different materials. As a rule, PU rigid foam stucco moldings are water-repellent due to their material properties and can be used without any problems in damp rooms such as bathrooms or kitchens. In contrast, HDPS stucco moldings have a lower water repellency. It should be noted that water resistance also depends on the coating of the stucco moldings. It is generally advisable to protect stucco moldings from direct contact with water, especially in damp rooms where professional sealing is required to prevent water penetration. To ensure that the stucco moldings you choose are suitable for the intended area of use, it is advisable to seek advice from our experts or our customer service before purchasing.
How do the materials PS rigid foam, PU rigid foam and HDPS differ from each other?
PS rigid foam is an inexpensive and lightweight material that is suitable for use in dry and air-conditioned rooms such as living rooms or bedrooms to create a decorative and stylish atmosphere. In comparison, PU rigid foam is particularly suitable for the production of moldings and other decorative elements due to its elasticity and resistance to mechanical stress. HDPS has a higher density and strength compared to conventional PS rigid foam, making it a durable and resilient material. However, HDPS is less elastic and resistant to mechanical stress compared to PU rigid foam.
