Die Anfänge - Von Handwerkskunst zur Vision
The beginnings - from craftsmanship to vision
In 1929, Franz Ewering founded our family business. He placed great value on marbling and imitations of old woods.
In the 1950s, a small 16 m² shop was added, which expanded our range in the Münsterland region.
Growth and development were the next step
In 1963, Franz Ewering junior joined the family business. With his arrival, the store was expanded to 60 m².
The company has been expanding steadily since then, both in terms of space and product range.
Modern times with new premises and extensions
In 1982, a new hall was built, half of which served as a shop and the other half as a painting business.
In 1992, we acquired another building at Dorstener Straße 8-10, which has housed our workshop ever since.
The third generation brought innovation and expansion
In 1997, Dirk Ewering, the third generation of the family, joined the company. From 1998 to 2000, our specialist store was
comprehensively renovated and in May 2000 we opened our curtain department.
The leap into the digital age
When Franz Ewering retired in 2000, Dirk Ewering took over the management of the craft company,
which continued as Malerbetrieb Ewering GmbH. In 2004, Dirk Ewering took over the specialist store
with associated interior design and continued the business as Ewering Raumdesign from 2005.
Since then, we have been operating our first online shop and today offer over 12,000 products online.

Our 4 online shops, www.stuckleistenprofi.de, www.tapetenshop.com, www.kindertapeten.de and www.farbe-und-technik.de,
are another important milestone in our company history.
Our current location and team
Our specialist store now covers a total area of 1,000 m². The painting company with its
premises at Dorstener Straße 8-10 covers a further 1,000 m² for workshop, machines and equipment.
A total of around 75 people work in our Reken company. Since January 2010
the company Ewering Berlin GmbH has been in the federal capital and employs a further 25 people there.
